Downzoning Project The Zoning & Development Committee is looking for volunteers to serve as Block Leaders for the Downzoning Project. Leaders would be responsible for taking petitons around for their designated block or blocks. If 70% of property owners sign the petition, the Alderman will begin the formal process of downzoning with the city. If you are interested, please contact Dawn Priory at 773-909-6467 or dawn@mayfaircivic.org Adopt a Bumpout The Beautification Committee is looking for volunteers to maintain the new "bumpouts" (sidewalk planters) that will be installed in October as part of the new Lawrence Avenue Streetscaping. Volunteers would be responsible for weeding and picking up trash (plants are watered automatically). Bumpouts are located at the corners of Kenneth/Lawrence, Kilbourn/Lawrence, Kenton/Lawrence (2), Kilpatrick/Lawrence (2), and Keating/Lawrence. There are also three planters on Elston Avenue.
